About

The Ohio State University Alumni Club of the Sacramento Valley is dedicated to advancing the interests of The Ohio State University and The Ohio State University Alumni Association (OSUAA), establishing closer fellowship among alumni, friends, family, and fans of Ohio State, and fostering student recruitment through the Club Howard T. Canfield Memorial Scholarship Program to  highly qualified local area California students who attend OSU. The Club is a tax-exempt 501(c)(4) organization according to IRS requirements, donations are fully deductible. To make a tax deductible donation to our Scholarship Fund, click here. We form a community from all walks of life and from different cultures who share a common love of all things OSU from serious to fun.

Sacramento Valley Buckeyes are #1. As a chartered club of OSU and OSUAA, we are home to over 1,200 OSU alumni as well as many other fans in California’s central valley region. We have a board of officers who take an active approach to club activities. You can meet nearly every one of them at every club function. The Club and its members have been recognized many times for their accomplishments, and most recently, named in 2015 by OSUAA an Outstanding Alumni Club- click here for more information.

We know what TBDBITL means and eagerly look forward to Buckeye football, parties, local River Cat baseball, Buckeye football, other Northern California OSU sports games and events, parties, local Sacramento Kings basketball, local Sacramento Republic FC soccer, local Sacramento Sirens football, banquets, mixers, Buckeye football, silent auctions, and, of course, Buckeye football! If you are interested or curious about where in the country OSU men’s and women’s athletic teams are playing, click here. If you are interested in our Club football ticket policy, click here.

There is always room for more supporters and we would love to have you join the club. Dues are currently $25 per individual/family per fiscal year (Sep 1 to Aug 31 to coincide with the football season) year. All Buckeye fans are welcome! Dues help support our Scholarship Fund. You also get to meet with fellow buckeyes, especially to watch us beat Michigan . . . Priceless!. To join our club or renew a membership, please click here.

We also encourage Ohio State graduates to join OSUAA, our national parent organization. There are many benefits of OSUAA membership for you, OSU, and our club. Please join to help make OSUAA the biggest and the best collegiate alumni club in the nation!

The club meets every week during football season at The Lodge. There you will usually find from two dozen to 180 or more rabid fans. Breakfast, lunch or dinner is served as appropriate. We also meet at other times during the year as we feel like it. We want to make sure that our fans are the best in the land whether they are in the stadium or at a club event. Please observe the Buckeye Sportsmanship Creed. Go Bucks!!

We hope to see you at our next scheduled event!

In addition to our primary charitable activity of supporting a scholarship program for local students attending OSU, the Club and its members also support other local, California, and national charitable causes directly and indirectly by providing time, donations, and/or other support. These activities currently include:

– The But for Ohio State campaign fundraising endeavor to invest in our students, our faculty, and our potential.

Pelotonia supports The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center (Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute) – one of the nation’s premier cancer centers for the prevention, detection and treatment of cancer.

SFBFS (Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services) is a local, non-profit agency committed to serving individuals and families in need. The Club collects food weekly during the regular football season for donation to the food bank.

The club also maintains Twitter and Facebook pages.
