Hannah Bensman

My name is Hannah Bensman and I am from El Dorado Hills, California. It is my third year at Ohio State, where I am studying Business Economics through the Fisher College of Business. I am pleased with my decision to have joined the Dunn Sport and Wellness Scholar’s program upon my entrance into college. It provided me with an immediate support group, and lifelong friends. Through this program, I have had the opportunity to act as a teacher’s assistant and become a certified D.I.C.E. (Diversity and Intercultural Community Engagement) Ally with the Multicultural Center.
In addition to my affiliation with Honors and Scholars, I am also an International Host. As a host, I attend admissions events, correspond with
prospective students from China and Korea, and help new international students become better acquainted with life at Ohio State. My association with the Newman Center has led me to become part of the hospital ministry in which I distribute communion, and visit with patients at the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center.
Outside of school, I work as a property management and brokerage intern for R. S. Garek Associates. Interning has proven helpful in demonstrating how my schoolwork can be applied in the field. I grow to enjoy my classes more each semester as I enter into major courses, and plan to graduate this August.
Thank you to everyone with the Sacramento Alumni Club for your continuous support. It means a lot to know I have so many people at home backing me. Thank you again for everything you have done, and continue to do for me! Enjoy your Thanksgiving and have a great time watching the Michigan game next weekend. I’ll be thinking of you all as I cheer from the stands!
